BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - On a weekly basis, IUHOOSIERS.com will recognize top academic performances by Hoosier student-athletes with the IU Scholar-Athlete of the Week award. For the week ending Oct. 30, senior women's basketball player Kali Kullberg earned the honor as selected by IU Athletics' Academic Services.
"Kali is one of the hardest workers I have coached on and off the court," head coach Sharon Versyp said. "Her dedication to her studies and to the sport of basketball is something that will take her far in life. Kali has all the qualities and characteristics that define a successful student-athlete. "
"Kali is someone who not only excels academically, but who also goes out of her way to pursue her academic interests," academic advisor Jenn Townsend said. "She is not only pursuing a dual degree in psychology and biology, but she also managed to find a way to minor in Spanish. Kali continually pushes herself to do everything she can to get the most out of her collegiate experience. Her spirit and dedication will be missed when she graduates. She is truly a great example of a true scholar-athlete."
