Stewart Named to Big Ten Tournament Team

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Sophomore midfielder Katy Stewart garnered Big Ten tournament team honors, the league announced on Wednesday. Stewart's accolade comes after the Indiana women's soccer team made its ninth trip to the Big Ten tournament.
Stewart joined 10 other Big Ten student-athletes on the list that is decided upon by the participating tournament coaches who nominate players from their respective teams. The Bloomington, Ind., native garnered her first Big Ten honor with the selection.
Tournament champion Wisconsin earned three selections to the team, Marisa Brown, Jessica Ring and Amy Vermeulen, while Michigan followed with two in Melissa Dobbyn and Katelin Spencer.
Rounding out the all-tournament team are Illinois' Jessica Bayne, Michigan State's Emma Harris, Minnesota's Molly Schneider, Penn State's Allie Long and Purdue's Zarinah Blockton.
The Badgers also swept the Offensive and Defensive Player of the tournament accolades as Vermeulen and Brown earned the honors, respectively.
