BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Over the 2005-06 campaign, IUHOOSIERS.com will catch up with former Indiana swimmers and divers to see where life has taken them after graduating from IU. Doug Ward, who dove for IU from 1969-72, took the time to fill in IUHOOSIERS.com on his life since graduation.
What have you been doing since graduating from Indiana University?
After graduation from IU, I coached diving in the U.S. for several years and then went overseas teaching and coaching in International Schools. It has been 25 years since then. Last year, my wife and two young ones returned from Asia. We now live in Indianapolis. I spent most of my 25 years there studying.
What piece of advice would you give to any current Hoosier?
I guess learning how to change is an important lesson for us now and might be for the swimmers and divers at IU.
