Hoosiers Embark on Final Road Trip of 2005 at Michigan

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana football team embarks on its final road trip of the 2005 regular season when it takes on No. 21/22 Michigan at Michigan Stadium (107,501) on Saturday, Nov. 5 at noon EST. IU enters the contest with a 4-5 mark (1-5 Big Ten), while U-M sits at 6-3 overall (4-2 Big Ten)
The game will be televised on ESPN2 (Pam Ward, David Norrie and Jimmy Dykes) and can be heard on the statewide IU Radio Network (Don Fischer, Pete Compise and Joe Smith).
The Michigan Series
Michigan owns a 48-9 advantage in its football series with Indiana. Last season, the Wolverines posted a 35-14 victory over IU in Bloomington.
Scouting The Wolverines
Michigan brings a 6-3 overall record and 4-2 Big Ten mark to its game with Indiana. The Wolverines were idle on Nov. 5 and defeated Northwestern, 33-17, in Evanston on Oct. 29. Sophomore quarterback Chad Henne has thrown for 1,859 yards and 16 touchdowns (7 interceptions) this season. His favorite target is senior wide receiver Jason Avant, who has caught 65 passes for 834 yards and seven touchdowns this season. Mike Hart (573 yards) and Kevin Grady (361 yards) head up Michigan's ground game.
Defensively, Michigan is third in the Big Ten in total defense (355.1 yards per game) through Nov. 5. Grant Mason (71 tackles) and David Harris (67 stops) are the top tacklers, while Lamar Woodley is one of the league leaders in tackles for loss (12.5).
