BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - IUHOOSIERS.com recently asked the 2005 Indiana Volleyball squad a series of questions. The next in the series is freshman defensive specialist Kari Morgenstein.
Why did you choose to come to IU?
I really liked the campus and it is a very good school academically. I also really wanted to play volleyball here and the team and coaches were so much fun and really friendly.
What do you plan to do when you complete collegiate competition?
I want to live on my own, get a successful job and travel somewhere out of the country. Maybe play a few volleyball pick-up games here and there too!
What is the word most others would use to describe you?
Outgoing
If your home was burning down and your family, friends and pets were safe, what one personal belonging would you save and why?
I would save this pink teddy bear my sister gave me when I was born. Now its really old, but it still has so much meaning.
Are you superstitious about anything in your sport? If so, what are some of your rituals?
I always have to tie my shoes more then once and make sure they are double knotted. Even if they are tied super tight I always make the tighter before the match starts.
