Indiana Player Quotes
November 4, 2005
Sophomore Forward Robert Vaden
On the fast-pace of the game and the team's overall play:
RV: "We pushed the ball up the court almost every possession and it really put pressure on their defense. We went inside to Marco and D.J. all game and that is exactly what we wanted to do. We tightened up our defense a lot in the second half, and I feel that defense is going to be a big part of our game this year. [This is how we] want to play this year; get up and down the court and go inside."
Senior Forward Sean Kline
On the most important thing the team can take away from this game:
SK: "It's a win, but even though we won, there are still a lot of things we can improve. We'll break the game down, go back and watch the film, and we'll be able to see the things that we are doing wrong and make improvements for next Thursday."
Senior Forward Marco Killingsworth
On what Assistant Coach Sidney Greene brings to the team:
MK: "He's a big guy and he played inside. The two of us talked during the game and he said that there were certain things he was going to work with the big guys on. He brings a lot of knowledge of the game to the team."
Junior Guard Earl Calloway
On the play of Marco Killingsworth:
EC: "He draws a lot of attention. On the first two plays of the game he had back to back dunks. Once they start focusing in on him, it really opens things up for the whole team. For the rest of the team, all we have to do after that is swing the ball around and find the open man."
