Senior Forward Marco Killingsworth
About the play of the game
MK:"We just needed to come out and play like we know we can. Some guys were just thinking too much. When you get so antsy, you are going to mess up."
About his play tonight
MK:"I watched Duke play Memphis and they just continued to give them one-on-one. That is all they gave us tonight, one and one. Coach Davis told our team to look for me on that and they were looking to give me the ball."
About the team's start to the game
MK:"We came out a little anxious at first. When we settled down we were ready to play."
Sophomore Guard/Forward Robert Vaden
About Indiana's play tonight without D.J. White and the limited time from A.J. Ratliff
RV:"It was very encouraging, but I felt like we should have won. A.J. played, but not that much, but I still felt like we could have won without D.J."
What do you take away from a game like this?
RV:"We learned that we can play with any team in the country. We need to be prepared for games like this, but I feel like we are off to a good start."
About the team's confidence despite the loss
RV:"I am disappointed about the loss. No one on this team likes to lose. It is good to know that we can play with anyone in the country. Duke is No. 1, and they have some great players. I just feel like if we get off to a great start every game we can play with anyone."
Sophomore Guard A.J. Ratliff
About being back on the court
AR:"It felt great. To have the fans behind me and playing the No. 1 team in the nation felt great."
About Marco Killingsworth's play
AR:"It was great. Marco gave us all he had and all we can do is thank him for his great effort. Taking on Duke's two big guys was a hard part to play, but he did a great job all night."
