Tucker Holding Own In LPGA Qualifying Tournament

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Former Indiana women's golfer Natalie Tucker is currently tied for 34th, with a 2-over par 146 (72-74) after two rounds of the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament. A field of 140 players are competing for 24 exempt cards and 35 non-exempt cards.
The 90-hole event has a cut to 70 and ties after four rounds. The field is made up of 63 players from the LPGA Sectional Qualifying Tournaments, 10 players from the Futures Tour money list and 67 current LPGA Tour members attempting to regain or improve their status.
After transferring from Memphis, Tucker was a two-year standout on the IU golf team from 1999-2001. She was named All-American Honorable Mention by the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) and selected All-Big Ten and Academic All-Big Ten in 2000 and 2001. Tucker remains the all-time career average school record holder (75.48).
The Q-School will continue until Dec. 4 on the LPGA International Legends and Champions course. Tucker will begin Friday's third round at approximately 9 a.m. EST.
