Indiana vs. Butler
Sophomore Robert Vaden
On the close game at halftime:
RV: "They were playing tight defense on us the first half and hitting some shots to really keep the game close. I just tried to take it upon myself and make some shots and get some stops and get our guys pumped up. We stepped up and got the job done in the second half."
On the strength of the team's post game:
RV: "We always go inside. That is what we are going to do. The way our post guys are playing, they are going to demand double teams. Our post guys do a great job of kicking it out when they get double-teamed and we have been knocking down shots when they do kick it out."
Senior Marco Killingsworth
On what coach Davis said at halftime:
MK: "He really got on us at halftime. We were making correctable mistakes and we made the adjustments we needed to."
On guarding smaller players Butler had throughout the game:
MK: "We did a lot of work on that in practice with our post players trying to guard smaller and quicker players. I think the preparation we put into that carried over and was beneficial in the game tonight."
Sophomore D.J. White
On his conditioning level at this point:
DW: "It's coming along well, but I am not in good enough shape yet. I just got back, so it will take a little bit of time to get caught up to the rest of the guys who have been playing and going up-and-down all season so far. Riding the bike and the other things I was doing when I was hurt will only do so much. You can't replace practice and game conditioning."
