Tucker Earns Non-Exempt Card

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Former Indiana women's golfer Natalie Tucker is one of the newest members of the LPGA Tour. Tucker carded a 74 during the final round of the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament and finished the 90-hole event with a 366 (72-74-73-73-74) to earn non-exempt card.
After transferring from Memphis, the Lawrenceburg, Ind., native was a two-year standout on the IU golf team from 1999-2001. She was named All-American Honorable Mention by the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) and selected All-Big Ten and Academic All-Big Ten in 2000 and 2001. Tucker remains the all-time career average school record holder (75.48).
Ai Miyazato won the five-day tournament with a 17-under par 343 (66-69-70-66-72), breaking a 20-year-old qualifying tournament record with a 12-shot victory.
The field was made up of 63 players from the LPGA Sectional Qualifying Tournaments, 10 players from the Futures Tour money list and 67 current LPGA Tour members attempting to regain or improve their status.
