IU Idle in Day One of Tyson

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The women's track and field team was quiet in Day One of the Tyson Invitational. No Hoosiers competed in the 12 events held on Friday night.

There was a change in the Hoosiers plan as junior Jessica Gall will make the trip to Seattle, Wash., to compete in the Huskies Invitational. Gall will compete in the 5000-meters on Saturday, Feb. 12.

"We just felt that the field was stronger in Washington," said Director of Track and Field Randy Heisler. "I think the tougher field will benefit Jessica and get her a qualifying time for the NCAAs."
