Practice Report: Feb. 18
Bloomington, Ind. - Indiana head coach Mike Davis and freshmen forwards D.J. White and Robert Vaden, along with junior guard Marshall Strickland addressed the media following Friday's practice. The Hoosiers continued preparation for Sunday's game at Michigan at 3:30 p.m.Freshman Forward D.J. White
On drawing more attention down low in the post:
"It has been a big adjustment I have been double-teamed. But, it is just a matter of being smart and being patient and knowing that good things will come."
Talking about going against other big men in Big Ten play:
"It's been very tough and very physical. Night in and night out we have been going against some of the best big men in the country."
Freshman forward Robert Vaden
On Indiana's previous game against Michigan in January:
"The way we played Michigan at home is completely different from how we have played anybody else this season. We played with more energy than I have every seen and our hope is to try and duplicate that when we go on the road."
Junior Guard Marshall Strickland
Looking ahead to Indiana's game against Purdue on Tuesday night:
"We know that they are going to come out fighting. They are a team that plays hard no matter what and it would be easy for them to quit but watching them play against Iowa, we know that these guys can still play."
Head Coach Mike Davis
On Michigan's season thus far:
"Michigan has had bad luck this year. Losing one player is tough but they have lost about four or five this year."
Talking about what needs to be done against Michigan:
"We need to make our shots. We did a good job at Ohio State early in the game, but the guys ran out of gas and we didn't have a third guy to make shots for us."
