Bloomington, Ind. - Indiana junior guard Bracey Wright has been selected to the 2004-05 National Association of Basketball Coaches' (NABC) First Team All-District 10, the NABC announced on Friday. This marks the third consecutive year Wright has been selected to an NABC All-District team, and second straight year receiving first-team honors.Wright leads the Hoosiers with 18.5 points per game, a number that ranks second in the Big Ten, and is second on the team with 4.6 rebounds, 51 assists and 22 steals despite missing the last three games due to an ankle injury.
During his three-year career, The Colony, Texas, native has scored at least 20 points on 30 times and hit the 25-point plateau on 14 separate occasions. He also earned five Big Ten Player of the Week honors in his career, joining Glen Robinson as the only players in league history to earn at least five Player of the Week honors in their first two seasons.
Joining Wright on the District 10 team are Chris Thomas (Notre Dame), Jason Maxiell (Cincinnati), Carl Landry (Purdue) and Terence Dials (Ohio State).
The 150 student-athletes, from 15 districts, are now eligible for the NABC Division I All-American Team to be announced at the conclusion of the 2004-2005 NCAA men's basketball season.
