Hoosiers Move To 27th In ITA Poll
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - No. 27 Indiana will play a trio of matches this weekend in the IU Varsity Tennis Center. The Hoosiers will host No. 30 Wake Forest on Saturday at 10 a.m., and No. 19 Texas A&M and Butler on Sunday at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
***Indiana is in the midst of an extremely tough stretch of its schedule. After playing then-No. 8 Duke (Jan. 29) and then-No. 15 North Carolina (Jan. 30), four of the next five opponents rank in the top-30 of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association national poll.
***Sophomore Laura McGaffigan has been sharp this spring compiling a record of 4-0 from the No. 3 singles position. She picked up a win against No. 108 Jennifer Zika, of Duke, on Jan. 28. Junior Sarah Batty has registered a 3-1 mark early this spring from the No. 2 singles slot.
