BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Despite dominating then-and-current No. 15 Purdue, 144-97, at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center in West Lafayette, Ind., the Indiana men's swimming and diving squad remained No. 13 in the latest College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) poll released on Feb. 8.
The Big Ten claimed seven of the top-25 positions with Michigan at No. 5, Minnesota at No. 6, the Hoosiers at No. 13, Northwestern at No. 14, Purdue at No. 15, Wisconsin at No. 18 and Ohio State at No. 24.
The CSCAA dual-meet poll is conducted every two weeks throughout the collegiate season and indicates the strength of the top collegiate dual meet teams and not necessarily their predicted finish at the NCAA Championships.
Next up, the Cream and Crimson head to Minneapolis, Minn., Feb. 24-26 for the 2005 Big Ten Championships.
