Bloomington, Ind - Head Coach Mike Davis and freshman forward Robert Vaden addressed the media following Wednesday's practice. The Hoosiers continued preparation for Saturday's game against Minnesota at 3 p.m. in Assembly Hall.Freshman Forward Robert Vaden
On facing Minnesota
RV: "We don't need any extra motivation for this game against Minnesota. Right now our focus is on winning and getting into the NCAA tournament. We aren't worrying about others, we are just focusing on ourselves."
On Big Ten play
RV: "Playing in the Big Ten is tough as any conference. People say that its down but I think it's as tough as it has ever been. We are just trying to go out there and win as much as we can. When you are a freshman you don't know what to expect at first and you just go out there fighting."
Head Coach Mike Davis
On play of the freshmen
MD: "You can see that they are hitting that freshmen wall. I saw it last week in with A.J. and D.J., but you need to fight through it. We count on both of them for a lot.
On Minnesota and the Big Ten
MD: "Minnesota playing good and hard. Some people think that the conference is down this year but it's not. Ohio State and Iowa have played good. This is more than just a three-team conference. We can't look at Minnesota as being a surprise team."
