Purdue/Illinois Match Notes

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana (7-7, 1-0) will continue Big Ten play this weekend with a pair of matches at No. 61 Purdue and No. 51 Illinois. The Hoosiers will face the Boilermakers on Saturday, March 26, and the Illini on Sunday, March 27.

***The Cream and Crimson defeated both Purdue and Illinois last season by identical scores of 4-3. IU beat then-No. 16 Illinois on April 24 and then-No. 61 Purdue a day later.

***Senior Dora Vastag and sophomore Cecile Perton have been sharp at the No. 3 doubles position. The duo has registered an overall mark of 14-5, while capturing 10 of their last 13 matches.

***All six starters for the Hoosiers have eclipsed the 10-win plateau: sophomore Laura McGaffigan has a team-best 19, followed by freshman Brianna Perton with 15 apiece, while Vastag (14), junior Sarah Batty (12) and senior Dominika Walterova (11) round out the top-six.

***McGaffigan and Batty lead the team in spring victories with 11 and nine, respectively.
