Q&A with Lance Bennett

Q: This is your second spring season that you have missed out on because of an injury, how difficult has that been?
A: It's hard, but it's not as hard as you think. As long as I know I can come back in the fall, then I don't mind watching from the sidelines. My rehab is going really well, so I feel good about that.
Q: Are there any disadvantages of missing out on spring ball with the new coaching staff in place?
A: Yeah because they haven't been able to see me play. There are guys who have a chance to make that impression and then I have to catch up for spring ball and for football camp.
Q: How has the atmosphere been with the new coaching staff?
A; I really like it. It is calm and relaxed. I don't want it to get too relaxed to where people are not going hard, but I like it.
Q: How is your music career going?
A: It's going really well and I am really happy with it. I helped out with Will Smith's latest single. It's fun and I enjoy it.
Q: What will the new offense do for you as a kick returner?
A: As far as the position I will be playing in, it opens up a lot of opportunities for me to get the ball. Learning it will be the hardest part. That is another disadvantage. It's easy to get mental reps and watch it but when you have to actually go out there and run it, it's different. I will be a little bit behind, but I am not worried about that at all.
