Siefker Takes 4th in Steeple

Palo Alto, Calif.--Junior Kelly Siefker ran a personal best time of 10:24.69 in the 3,000m steeplechase to capture a fourth-place finish at the Stanford Invitational on Friday evening. This time ranks second all time on the IU best list and surpassed the regional qualifying standard of 10:52.10. Siefker's previous personal best was a 10:26.84 at the Penn Relays last season.

In other action at the Stanford Invite, sophomore Lindsay Hattendorf also turned in a personal best and regional qualifying time in the 5,000m, clocking in at 16:40.70, which was good for an eighth-place finish. Hattendorf's previous personal best in the event was 16:53.88 at the Penn Relays two seasons ago.
