Student Group Reserved Seating

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University Athletics is offering student group reserved seating for the 2005 football season. First-year head coach Terry Hoeppner's Hoosiers face a challenging six-game home slate this fall, including three 2004 bowl teams. In addition to the annual battle with regional rival Kentucky (Sept. 17 at 4 p.m.), Indiana will entertain 2004 Alamo Bowl champion Ohio State on Oct. 22, the 2004 Music City Bowl champion Minnesota on Nov. 5 and 2004 Sun Bowl participant Purdue in the Old Oaken Bucket game on Nov. 19.
Hoeppner is counting on IU students to play a key role in the Hoosiers' success this fall.
"Our students don't go to a good school, they go to a great school. The Indiana University," Hoeppner said. "One of the most important parts of the equation for success is the students. We are going to win games because the students are there cheering us on. Get on the bandwagon early to make sure you can get good seats. We will deliver on the field, and we need for students to deliver in the stands."
For just $48 per season ticket, student groups of 20 or more can purchase reserved tickets in Sections 22, 23 or 24, ensuring great seats close to the field. Students can pay for their tickets by check, credit card or via their bursar bill. The deadline for group season ticket orders is Aug. 30, but the deadline for bursar bill payment is Aug. 1.
Students who do not sit in reserved groups are still able to take advantage of festival seating in the rest of the student section, including the mid-field seats in sections 25 and 26.
To help promote the reserved seating for student groups, members of the IU Football team visited fraternity and sorority houses during their chapter meetings April 17 and will do so again April 24. Greek houses that did not schedule visits by the team and other large student groups will all receive information from the athletics department about how they can reserve a section for their members. Reserved group seating is not limited to officially-recognized student groups. Any IU students who meet the 20-person minimum requirement may reserve seats together.
