BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The No. 56 Indiana men's tennis team (10-8, 4-1 Big Ten) is riding a six-match winning streak into its Big Ten showdown at No. 33 Ohio State (11-6, 3-1 Big Ten) on Saturday, April 9. The contest is slated to begin at noon, and will be held at the Stickney Tennis Center in Columbus, Ohio.
***Indiana has won six-straight matches for the first time since an eight-tilt streak in 2002-03. The Hoosiers had a pair of three-match stints last year.
***The 4-1-league start is the best for the Cream and Crimson since the 1992-93 squad finished the regular-season campaign with a 9-1 mark.
***IU picked up its first and second road wins of the year last weekend at Northwestern and Wisconsin (April 2-3). The Cream and Crimson had been 0-5 away from Bloomington.
***Sophomore David Bubenicek would like to continue his impressive play that has carried him to a 17-5 overall mark and a 13-2 docket in dual matches. The Kromeriz, Czech Republic, product has won 10 of his last 11 outings.
***Several Hoosiers are streaking along: junior John Stone has won seven-straight matches, senior Jakub Praibis and junior Neil Kenner have each won their last six, while Tom Bagnato has been victorious in five consecutive duals.
***With the match-up at No. 33 Ohio State, Indiana will play its 13th ranked opponent this year. OSU will be the seventh foe ranked in the top-35 that the Cream and Crimson will battle this spring.
