THE BASICS
The Indiana track and field teams head to the 2005 Big Ten Outdoor Championships this weekend, May 13-15. This year's championships are hosted by Ohio State and all competition will take place at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus. The first event, the decathlon 100-meters, is set to begin on Friday at Noon. The men's 4x400m relay is the final event of the weekend and is slated to begin at 3:45 p.m. on Sunday.

IU WOMEN AT THE 2004 BIG TENS
Three Indiana women top-three finishers put IU seventh overall with 63.5 points. Among the IU women top-three finishers was Christina Archibald, who placed second in the high jump with a personal best clearance of 1.78m (5-10.00), Courtney Johnson who took home second-place in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 13.54, and Jessica Gall who captured third place in the 5k with a regionally qualifying time of 16:56.34. Gall, who also finished fourth in the 10k on Friday night looked strong throughout the duration of the race. Archibald's mark makes her eligible to compete in the NCAA Regionals.
