Opening Round Suspended at NCAA East Regional

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Play has been suspended due to darkness in the first round at the NCAA Men's Golf East Regional. Six of the 27 teams in the Regional are still on the course, including Indiana. In the middle of the round, an approximate two-hour rain delay halted play and contributed to the suspension of play. Round one will resume tomorrow morning at 7 a.m., followed by the start of round two.
The Hoosiers are between holes 12-15 and currently sit in 16th place at 4-over-par. Wake Forest is the clubhouse leader after shooting a 13-under-par 271. The top 10 teams at the Regional advance to the NCAA Championships, which will be conducted June 1-4 at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Md.

The Southeastern Conference is hosting the Regional at the Golf Club of Tennessee. The Golf Club is set up as a par 71 with a yardage of 6,864.
