Vlahogeorge Leaves IU Program

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana redshirt freshman quarterback Mike Vlahogeorge has left the Hoosier football program and will discontinue his collegiate athletic career, IU head coach Terry Hoeppner announced today.

"Mike is an intelligent, young man who has decided to pursue other options," Hoeppner said. "We wish him the best in his future endeavors."

Vlahogeorge arrived at IU in January 2004 after finishing his high school career ranked among the top three in passing yardage in Indiana prep history. Vlahogeorge threw for 10,757 yards at Lafayette Jefferson High School, a mark that ranks third in state history. He completed 187-of-377 passes for 3,347 yards and 44 touchdowns as a senior.
