What team are you most looking forward to playing this season?
I am very excited to play everyone on our schedule because I think every game is an opportunity for us to get better. I think a challenging and exciting game to play will be Wake Forest. It should show us how we've come to the point where we are able to compete with the best.
What is your favorite IU field hockey moment?
There have been many IU field hockey moments that are unforgettable, but I think the feeling of beating Iowa in overtime was surreal. It was an amazing win over a great field hockey team and something we really had not experienced before.
What do you plan on doing after the season?
My plans for after the season are under revision. I am not certain as to what I will be doing but I have an idea. As soon as I figure it out I will get back to you.
Why should a potential recruit come to Indiana?
I think the school has so much to offer. It is a safe, fun college town with great academic resources, a lot of different places to eat, and awesome sports teams to watch. What else do you need? There are just so many amazing facts about our school that I am still learning about (Thanks Ryan Woolsey - tour guide). If the school itself doesn't convince a recruit, the team will. The team and the coaches are just an amazing group of people who bring so much energy, fun, and passion for field hockey. It's going to be hard leaving.
What are your predictions for the upcoming season?
I think this year will be unique compared to previous years. I can't really predict the future, but I can share our goals. One is to win a Big Ten Championship. With almost our whole team returning, we've been able to prepare ourselves in the spring to contend for a championship this fall. After that, I believe we can put ourselves in a good position to make a run in the tournament, but one step at a time.
