Indiana senior guard Cyndi Valentin is currently traveling through Holland and Belgium as part of the Big Ten Foreign Tour. While on the Tour, the 2005 honorable mention All-Big Ten selection is keeping a diary for iuhoosiers.com. The following is her second entry:
Today was nice. We had a day off from basketball. We went to see the Ann Frank Museum, which was so interesting and we got to see her house and where she stayed at. Then we went to the Gassan diamond factory, which was cool, we got to see how they made diamonds and how they were priced. It would have been even cooler if I had money to buy the nice diamonds they had. But basketball wise it's going really well, we won all three games by a lot each time, but the next two teams are supposed to be better. We have been touring the city of Amsterdam and it's cool. Yesterday we took paddle boats out on the canals in Amsterdam, it was really long ride but it was something different. I've done a lot of shopping. There are stores everywhere, which is not a good thing! I'm getting along with all the girls and it's cool that I'm going to come out of this trip with some friends around the Big Ten. Talk to you when we get to Belgium.
