Indiana senior guard Cyndi Valentin is currently traveling through Holland and Belgium as part of the Big Ten Foreign Tour. While on the Tour, the 2005 honorable mention All-Big Ten selection is keeping a diary for iuhoosiers.com. The following is her third and final entry:
The trip is winding down and I'll be home tomorrow. It's been a fun ride. I met a lot of new people and we have friendships that will last a lifetime. We played the Belgium National on Saturday and it was probably the best team we played since we have been here. We won by one point on a last second shot that Crystal Smith hit. Then we went to Luxembourg but we only got to spend like an hour there because we got stuck in traffic and had to detour. We were on the bus for like five hours. Luxembourg was pretty. Before Luxembourg on Monday, we went to Brugge and we rode a canal boat and got a tour of the city. It was really nice. It had a lot of old buildings and churches. After that we got time to walk around, but we got lost trying to go back to the hotel. Yesterday we went to Luxembourg and played a club team. It was a nice way to end the trip because we won by a lot and everybody had a lot of fun. Today we went to the chocolate factory. It was cool to see how they make chocolate since I love chocolate! We got to taste it as they made it. Now we are just relaxing and waiting to leave tomorrow. I also learned how to play some card games while I was here, since we were on the bus for so long. Some of the girls taught me how to play some new games. I had a lot of fun on the trip and met a lot of cool people
