Wilson Earns Third-Place Finish in Triple Jump

Ten-time All-American Aarik Wilson posted a third-place finish in the triple jump.

CARSON, Calif. - After taking third in the triple jump at the NCAA Outdoor Championships this season, IU senior Aarik Wilson matched that finish at the 2005 USATF Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Carson, Calif. In final, Wilson placed third with a leap of 16.73m.

Meanwhile, senior Tom Burns finished with an 11th-place effort of 8:47.77 in the 3,000m steeplechase final, while junior Sean Jefferson claimed 10th place in a time of 3:47.93 in the 1,500m open final.
