IZMIR, Turkey - Rising junior Kevin Swander will be providing a journal from time to time as he competes at the 2005 World University Games in Izmir, Turkey. The Greenwood, Ind., native talks about winning the silver medal in the 100 LCM breaststroke and his schedule of events for the rest of the Universiade.

"Well, today was a much better day than the first couple since I arrived in Izmir. I achieved what I set out to do her at the World University Games and that was to medal. Now, I can sit back and enjoy the experience.

I still have the 50 LCM breaststroke and the relay, which will both be very tough races. After tonight, however, I have some more confidence and will be ready to race with those guys.

Well, it is 10 at night here and I am tired. I will talk to you all later.
