Vastag Advances to Semifinals

Dora Vastag advanced to the semis of the ITA Summer National Championships in women's singles.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Senior Dora Vastag advanced to the semis of the women's singles bracket at the ITA Summer National Championship today. Vastag, who was down 6-1 in the tiebreaker, came back to win the match, 1-6, 7-5, 1-0(7) over Northwestern's Alexis Prousis.

Vastag faced Prousis last year in the Minneapolis Regional of the ITA Summer Circuit and fell 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.

Vastag will face the winner of Georgia Tech's Allison Silverio and Anna Lubinsky of Texas A&M. The approximate time of Vastag's match is noon at the Varsity Tennis Courts.
