Taylor's Camp Journal: Day 3

Running back Chris Taylor enters his last preseason camp as a Hoosier. In 2004, Taylor played in all 11 games and finished the season with 329 yards on 82 carries. In the backfield for the past two years, Taylor has averaged 4.0 yards per carry.
Taylor is keeping an online journal on IUHOOSIERS.com of preseason camp. Below is his third entry after Wednesday's practice:
Overall, today was a good day of practice. We had two practices today. In the first one, we had a mock game with the scout team. We are making sure we have all of our plays down and have everything in place for the Central Michigan game.
Today, we went a little lighter in practice. Coach cut down a lot of what we did to help us get our legs back and rest a little bit.
The second practice was light as well. We got a good stretch in and that feels good after these long days. We walked through some of our plays and different situations we might face. We also cleaned up some of the things we made mistakes on in the earlier practice.
Camp, as a whole, has been long, but I think we are getting some good work in. We have really progressed as a team both one and off the field. We have been going against each other for the past two weeks, and we are just ready to play someone different. After 17 days, it's time to play a game.
Overall, another good day and we ready to get after it on Sept. 2.
