BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The excitement continues to mount as Indiana football begins to narrow its focus in practice on the Central Michigan contest on Sept. 2. After opening the practice with position drills, the Hoosiers returned to 7-on-7 drills as well as worked against the scout team.
After practice, senior linebacker John Pannozzo and junior wide receiver Jahkeen Gilmore spoke with IUHOOSIERS.com.
Senior linebacker John Pannozzo
On the excitement of starting with the Central Michigan game:
Definitely. We have been out here practicing for three weeks. Not to say it is getting old, it is just time to start going against someone else.
On anything specific he is looking forward:
Not with the change. It is my senior year and my last go around. This could be the last time I get to play football. I am really excited and enthusiastic to get started with the season.
Junior wide receiver Jahkeen Gilmore
On the excitement of starting with the Central Michigan game:
I am most definitely getting excited. Game time is a moment where everybody is trying to focus in and get mentally prepared. When we hit the game, it is time to lighten things up. We get fired up a bit. We are trying to be poised and get focused. We are just trying to clean up the errors that we make in practice and get ready for next week.
