Hoosier Kick Off Season with IU Community 5k

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.-- Members of the Bloomington community will get a chance to run on the IU Cross Country course with members of the men's and women's cross country squads when the Hoosiers host the Community 5k run on Friday, Sept. 2 at 6 p.m. The race is open to the public, as well as all colleges and universities. The event will be a road race style format.

This will be the first meet for Indiana, as they prepare for the upcoming season. The entry fee for event, which is payable at number pick-up is $5 per person for individuals, and $30 for collegiate teams (men and women separate). Runners interested must pre-register online by 3:00 p.m. on Sept. 1 at http://meetentry.tripod.com. Race numbers will be available at the finish line, beginning at 5:00 p.m. on race day.
