BLOOMINGTON, Ind.-The Indiana women's cross country team will begin its 2005 season on Friday, Sept. 2 at 6:00 p.m. with a community 5k run. Members of the Bloomington area are encouraged to come and run on the IU course in preparation for another season under coach Judy Wilson.
RETURNING ALL AMERICAN
Junior Jessica Gall headlines the returning letterwinners for Indiana. Gall became just the eighth female runner in school history to earn All-American honors during the cross country season when she finished in 18th place at NCAA's.
BACK HOME AGAIN IN INDIANA
The Hoosiers have a travel friendly schedule this season, leaving the state only three times. The team will travel to Minneapolis, Minn once during the regular season and once for the Big Ten Championships, and will take a trip to Chicago for the Loyola Lakefront Invitational.
HOMEGROWN TALENT
This year's squad is loaded with talent from across Indiana with nine runners hailing from the Hoosier state. That number also includes two Bloomington natives, sophomore Maura Ratcliff (South) and freshman Lydia Serfling (North).
