Hoosiers Offer Family Four Pack for Nicholls State Game

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - With the 2005 Indiana home football opener less than two weeks away, the Hoosiers are offering a great deal for IU fan families to attend the Sept. 10 home opener against Nicholls State at Memorial Stadium. The Hoosier Family Four Pack includes four end zone seat tickets, four hot dogs, four popcorns and four soft drinks for just $60. Indiana head coach Terry Hoeppner has been a busy man the last nine months. In addition to hiring his coaching staff, they signed 24 student-athletes to national letters of intent and enjoyed a productive spring and fall camp. Furthermore, Hoeppner made more than 50 official appearances around the state to promote the program.
Hoeppner's proactive approach to public relations has resulted in a 56-percent increase in student ticket sales and a 27-percent increase in public season ticket sales. However, as the first-year coach is quick to point out, they are just scratching the surface on the field and in the box office.
"I am pleased with where the program is at, but by no means are we a finished product," Hoeppner said. "After a great fall camp, we are ready to start the season. We have several great promotions for the Nicholls State game, because we are going to have Memorial Stadium rocking this fall."
In addition to the Family Four Pack, the Nicholls State game marks the debut of "The Walk." Two hours prior to each home game this season, the IU coaches and players will depart the team busses south of 17th Street, walk across 17th Street towards Assembly Hall, through the tailgating sections en route to Memorial Stadium.
IU fans that are also motorcycle enthusiasts will also have an opportunity to "Ride To The Rock." Registered participants will help escort the IU football team from their pregame hotel to Memorial Stadium. Riders will ride behind the state police motorcycles and in front of the team busses. Check in will be at 12:30 p.m. for the ride, and the last bike out will be at 1:15 p.m. Additionally, riders cannot be registered on game day.
