IRVINE, Calif. - Rising junior Kevin Swander closed out day four of competition at the 2005 ConocoPhillips Summer National Championships in Irvine, Calif., on Aug. 6 with a third-place finish in the 100 LCM breaststroke. The Greenwood, Ind., native posted a 1:02.39, which is the sixth-fastest time in IU history.

Meanwhile, incoming freshman Heath Tameris touched in 1:04.43 in the consolation heat to secure 12th place.

In the 100 LCM butterfly, rising sophomore Scott Tanner finished 18th in a time of 54.92. That effort now stands as the fourth-best in school lore.
