Below is what Cassady had to say:
Tell us what you have done since you graduated from Indiana:
After graduating from IU I played professional basketball in Athens, Greece. Following my playing days, I became a personal trainer and eventually a graduate assistant coach for Indiana University and received my masters in Aug. of 2004.
What is your current job right now and how do you like it?
I am an assistant women's basketball coach at Indiana State University and I love it! The game of basketball has given me many experiences, and I like the feeling of giving back to these young and new players everyday.
What are some of your best memories of playing basketball for the Hoosiers?
Winning the 2002 Big Ten Tournament Championship and playing in the NCAA Tournament. Also, the friendships that were formed with my teammates while competing against each other everyday and the camaraderie that we built is something that will last forever.
Would you say playing basketball and receiving an education from Indiana has really helped you get to where you are today?
I would definitely say both my playing experiences and academics have provided me with not only an opportunity but also an incredible foundation in becoming an assistant coach.
