BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Tickets to men's basketball games for Indiana University students are now on sale for any student who wants to experience IU hoops. The men's basketball schedule includes 14 home games, highlighted by non-conference contests against Duke in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge (Nov. 30) and Connecticut (Feb. 4), as well as the always competitive Big Ten slate.
"We have the biggest and best student section in the Big Ten," head coach Mike Davis said. "There have been games when the students have really motivated us to a victory. Their support throughout the season really pays dividends for our program."
Indiana's Assembly Hall boasts a 7,000-seat student section, the largest in the Big Ten, which also includes quality court-level seats.
"The students give you a chance to get to another level out there on the court," IU sophomore D.J. White said. "They are right there on the court and are behind you no matter what happens. They give us the motivation that we need to get over the hump."
Student tickets will cost $161 and are limited to one season ticket per individual. Those wishing to purchase the tickets must show a valid IU student ID in order to receive admission to all home games.
In order to guarantee a seat, purchases must be made by Sept. 23. The sale of tickets will determine the number of games a student receives. If the number of tickets purchased by the students exceed the number of seats allocated to the student area, then a refund will be issued for the games not received.
Students wishing to be seated together must return their coupons in one envelope by Oct. 1. A maximum of eight students may be seated together. Student tickets will be sent one week prior to the first game.
