Hoosiers Crack Top Ten

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - For the first time in program history, the Indiana field hockey team earned a national ranking in the top ten as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) on Tuesday. After a thrilling 3-2 double-overtime win over then-No. 6 Michigan State and a convincing 6-0 shutout victory over Lindenwood, the Hoosiers are ranked eighth.
The No. 8 ranking replaces last week's No. 11 ranking as the highest in program history. This is the first time in the program's short six-year existence that Indiana has been ranked in the top ten and the first time IU has been ranked for three consecutive weeks.
After a five game home stand, the No. 8 Hoosiers travel to No. 13 Michigan on Friday and Kent State on Sunday.
