BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's tennis team continues fall play with the Hoosier Classic. Competition begins at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 30 at the Outdoor Varsity Tennis Courts. Vastag opens play for the 2005-06 season at 10 a.m. against Jessica Simosa from Kansas State and Batty will face Elizaveta Avdeeva from Kansas. In the Flight B bracket, junior Laura McGaffigan will square off against Kansas' Christine Skoda and freshman Alba Berdala is set to face LSU's Lauren Seaman.
The Hoosier Classic will feature five ITA preseason ranked competitors including Indiana's No. 82 Sarah Batty and No. 90 Dora Vastag. Participating in this year's Classic are Indiana, Kansas, Kansas State, LSU, Murray State and Notre Dame.
This year's Hoosier Classic will be comprised of five flights (A-E) for singles competition. Each flight is a draw eight. The main doubles bracket is a draw 16 with additional round robin matches each day.
