BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana football junior kickoff/punt returner Lance Bennett and his brothers, Lennie and Lemar, have co-written several hit songs for Will Smith, including "Black Suits Comin' (Nod Ya Head) from the Men In Black II soundtrack and Smith's latest hit, "Switch." Bennett has extended his writing and recording talents to the Indiana basketball team, as "Get In The Game," the 2005-06 Hoosiers' official team song that is played at Assembly Hall during pregame warm-ups, is on sale at all IU Bookstores and IU Varsity Shops. The CD costs $6.99 and also includes two videos (one IU basketball highlight video and one music video) that Indiana fans can view on their computer desktops.
After Bennett wrote and recorded Indiana's official 2005 football song, "Knock, Knock" late last summer, some of the IU basketball players asked Bennett to write and record a song for the basketball team.
"The basketball team is off to a great start, and I hope that this CD adds to the excitement this winter," Bennett said. "Not too many college basketball teams have their own official song. Indiana has some of the best fans around, and I hope that the CD is a unique memento for the season."
