Michigan Meet Postponed to Jan. 29

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Due to the passing of former University of Michigan men's swimming standout and two-time Olympic silver medalist Eric Namesnik early Wednesday, the dual meet between Indiana and Michigan scheduled on Jan. 14 at 1 p.m. has been postponed to Jan. 29 at noon.

A trust fund has been set up for the children of Eric and Kirsten: SNIK'S KIDS (official name: Eric Namesnik Memorial Fund -- either is fine on the check)

The scheduled senior recognition for the Michigan meet has been moved to the Feb. 4 meet against Purdue. Additionally, the parent's weekend dinner slated for this Saturday will be held as scheduled.

The Hoosiers stand with their Big Ten family from Michigan and the Namesnik family of Kirsten, Austin and Madison in their time of mourning.
