Satterwhite Named IU Scholar-Athlete of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - On a weekly basis, IUHOOSIERS.com will recognize top academic performances by Hoosier student-athletes with the IU Scholar-Athlete of the Week award. For the week ending Jan. 22, freshman baseball player Cameron Satterwhite earned the honor as selected by IU Athletics' Academic Services.

"We couldn't be happier for Cameron in being named Scholar-Athlete of the Week," Indiana head baseball coach Tracy Smith said. "He has worked very hard on his studies, and this recognition is positive reinforcement for not only him but also his teammates."

Last semester, Satterwhite garnered Alpha Beta honorary society recognition.

"Cameron is a great kid who worked very hard last semester," academic advisor Jenn Townsend said. "He is someone who we thought might have a hard time adjusting to college academics, but because he worked hard and used tutors and other resources to help him, he has been successful."
