Loring On the Duke and Ball State Matchups

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The No. 32 ranked Indiana women's tennis team continues spring dual action on Jan. 29 with doubleheader matches against No. 14 Duke at 10 a.m. and in-state foe Ball State at 3 p.m. at the Indiana Tennis Center.
Indiana head coach Lin Loring enters his 29th season at the helm of the Hoosier women's tennis program. The NCAA's all-time winningest coach shares his thoughts on this weekend's opponents and the opening of the 2006 season.
On Duke:
LL: "Duke is normally a top-five team. They started this season ranked lower because they ended last season with some injuries. We are excited about this match. It will give us a good indication of where we are and what we need to work on. I'm expecting a very good match."
On Ball State:
LL: "We have already beaten the top two team in the Mid-American Conference, so this is match we expect to win."
On what the team needs to do to be successful this weekend:
LL: "We need to be relaxed, play our game and forget who is over the net. That goes for both matches."
On the beginning of the season thus far:
LL: "I am pleased with the way we have started. There are a number of areas we can improve, but our effort and team spirit has been great."
