BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Senior back Morgan Miller and senior forward Lydia Schrott were selected by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) to the Division I Senior All-Star Game. The game will be played on Saturday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m. EST at Wake Forest's Kentner Stadium in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Miller and Schrott are the third and fourth Hoosiers in program history to earn the distinction. Last season, midfielder Kayla Bashore and forward Mallory Reabold were selected to the West team. This year's IU tandem are among 10 honorees from the Big Ten.
So far this season, Miller has led one of the top defenses in the country to record four shutout wins. The Gap, Pa., native is currently third on the team in goals with seven, while recording three assists.
A second team All-American from a season ago, Schrott leads the team in points (29) off of 12 goals and five assists. Additionally, Schrott is the team leader in game-winning goals with four.
The 13-4 Hoosiers are back in action on Sunday, Oct. 29, to take on conference rival Penn State in University Park, Pa. Game time is slated for noon EST.
