10 Questions With Kevin Noschang

Sophomore Kevin Noschang has two goals and an assist on the year. He scored the game-winning tally against IUPUI on Oct. 10. Noschang sat down with IUHOOSIERS.com to answer a few questions about himself.
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I'd like to go to Paris. I'd be kind of cool to take a gondola ride through the city.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Hopefully retired with a lot of money. That way I can sleep all day. Realistically though, I want to do something with soccer, whether it's coaching or playing.
Who has been the biggest influence in your life and why?
My parents. They sacrificed a lot of their time to make sure that I could fulfill my dream.
What is your favorite childhood memory?
We won the state championship with my under 17 club team, Cincinnati United Premier. John Mellencamp and I were on the same team.
Describe your presence on the field. What do you bring to the team?
I like to think that I work hard and try to make things happen. My biggest advantage is my speed, and I try to use that to the best of my ability.
Why do you wear number 9?
I've always worn number nine since I was a kid, and I wanted to continue the tradition here. It's been lucky for me.
What makes Indiana special from any other program?
Our winning tradition. I was recruited by other schools, but they couldn't tell me that they had won seven national championships.
My favorite thing about Bloomington is:
The college lifestyle. There's always someone else to meet, which is great.
What is your favorite soccer memory?
My favorite soccer memory was winning the national championship in 2004. Although my class redshirted, we still contributed a lot and it was still a cool feeling.
Do you have a nickname that your teammates gave you? What is it and why?
Nosh. Short for my last name. That's how they spell it too, dropping the C.
