
Hoosiers Tied For Seventh At Wolf Run Intercollegiate

ZIONSVILLE, Ind. - The Indiana men's golf team shares seventh place after the first 36 holes of the Wolf Run Intercollegiate, held at the Wolf Run Golf Club. The Hoosiers carded a total of 599 (296-303) on the day for their placement.
Leading the way for Indiana is sophomore Jorge Campillo, who stands in solo fifth after a 142 (69-73) for the day. Classmate Drew Allenspach is tied for 19th position after carding a 149 (75-74) and fellow sophomore Seth Brandon shares 30th place with a total of 153 (75-78) for the first 36 holes.
Junior Santiago Quirarte is tied for 42nd position with a 156 (77-79) and senior Tad Sacheck shares 49th place after carding a 159.
Competing as an individual, freshman Alex Martin is tied for 42nd heading into the final round after turning in a 156 (78-78).
The University of Kentucky leads the tournament with a total of 581 (292-289). The University of Louisville is second at 584 (290-294) and Georgia Southern University is third with a 591 (299-292).
Derek Fathauer of Louisville stands on top of the leaderboard with a three-under par total of 139 (66-73). He leads Chris Smith of Georgia Southern by one shot at 140 (75-65). Smith's 65 in the second round set a new course record. Fathauer had tied the previous course record in the first round of play.
The tournament will conclude on Sunday, Oct. 8 with tee times beginning at 9 a.m. off both the first and 10th tees.
