Miller, Schrott Set for Senior All-Star Game

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Senior back Morgan Miller and senior forward Lydia Schrott were selected by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) to the Division I Senior All-Star Game. The game will be played on Saturday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m. EST at Wake Forest's Kentner Stadium in Winston-Salem, N.C., the site of the 2006 NCAA Final Four.
Miller and Schrott are the third and fourth Hoosiers in program history to earn the distinction. Last season, midfielder Kayla Bashore and forward Mallory Reabold were selected to the West team. This year's IU tandem are among 10 honorees from the Big Ten.
Miller led the Hoosier defense to the lowest goals allowed in program history (24). The Gap, Pa., product notched a pair of defense saves in 2006 to go along with 17 points off seven goals and three assists, while leading the Hoosiers in shots with 45. Additionally, Miller is a two time first team All-Big Ten selection and earned first team NFHCA All-West Region honors for the second time in as many seasons.
Schrott led the Indiana offense in 2006 with 29 points off 12 goals and five assists. The three time first team NFHCA All-West Region selection, became the first Hoosier in program history to reach the 100-point plateau in a career with a hat trick performance against Northwestern on Sept. 22. The career leader in every offensive category, Schrott earned second team NFHCA All-American honors in 2006 and is a three time first team All-Big Ten selection.
