10 Questions With Daniel Kelly

Freshman Daniel Kelly redshirted this season for the Hoosiers, but was a significant contributor on the practice squad. He sat down with IUHOOSIERS.com to answer a few questions about himself.
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I haven't been to Paris, France. I would like to go there. Maybe watch a Ligue game, or just go with a few friends and hang out.
Since coming to Indiana, I've learned:
With soccer, you have to bring it every day. Also, that you have to study.
What is your favorite sport besides soccer?
NCAA Basketball. I like college basketball because all of the students get into it, and it's really hyped up.
The best thing about Indiana is:
The soccer team. I love hanging out with these guys.
What is your favorite soccer memory?
Getting picked for the under-17 World Cup team and having a chance to travel with it.
The teammate I most admire is who, and why?
Julian Dieterle, because he's been here for three years and he gives it his all every day. He's a beast back there. Also, Doug Reisinger, because he brings it every day.
Name one thing that you wish you were better at?
Soccer, and being mentally focused on the field. I also wish I could play a musical instrument. I used to play the trombone, but I wish I could play the guitar, or piano.
Why did you start playing soccer?
One of my friends and I started playing soccer, and he got me into it. I told my parents that I wanted to sign up to play at school, and that's how I got into it.
What do you like best about Coach Freitag?
His jokes, he can be funny sometimes. He's really competitive and he always wants to win. He wants the best for everyone.
What's your favorite class and why?
Stress management. We'll read out of the stress management textbook and it tells you all of these stress techniques. We have one class today where I think we're planning to do yoga. I'm not flexible, so that could be interesting. It should be good.
