Miller Named Hoosiers' Third All-American

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana field hockey senior back Morgan Miller earned third team National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-American honors, the association announced on Nov. 20. The Gap, Pa., native became the third Hoosier in program history to be tabbed an All-American.
Miller joins former Indiana standout and current U.S. National Team member Kayla Bashore and fellow senior Lydia Schrott, who was a 2005 second team honoree, in the Hoosier record books as the program's only All-Americans.
Miller led the Hoosier defense to the lowest goals allowed in program history (24), while picking up first team All-Big Ten and first team NFHCA All-West Region accolades for the second straight year. The Gap, Pa., product notched a pair of defense saves in 2006 to go along with 17 points off seven goals and three assists, while leading IU in shots with 45.
Miller and the Hoosiers closed the 2006 season ranked No. 16 with a 14-5 overall record and a 4-2 mark in the Big Ten.
